Integrating Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Policy to Grow Healthy Kids and Families in Ohio

What if we stopped putting the needs of our youngest children off for another day? What if we invested early in prevention to avoid crisis? What could a system look like that prioritizes the mental health of babies, toddlers, and their caregivers?

Join Groundwork Ohio’s Center for Maternal and Young Child Health on Wednesday, October 27 at 10:00 AM EST for a virtual discussion addressing these questions and more. During the webinar, you’ll hear from local, state, and national experts on policies that support early childhood mental health and strengthen the foundation of Ohio families and communities.

To grow healthy kids and families in Ohio, we must support the mental health of our infants, toddlers, and their families. However, because of the way that adverse experiences manifest themselves in a young child’s behavior and relationships, the experiences of Ohio’s youngest and most vulnerable children are often overlooked.

During the webinar, experts will discuss learnings from Groundwork Ohio’s new report on infant and early childhood mental health. Groundwork Ohio will also share what to expect from the Center for Maternal and Young Child Health, including the center’s mission to transform systems that improve maternal and young child health, promote health equity, and prioritize prevention through policy development, research, and collaboration so that all Ohio mothers and young children thrive.
