Advocacy Alert: Act Now to Oppose HB248!

The Ohio House Health Committee is set to reconvene next week for another hearing on HB 248. We are once again asking for your support in opposing HB 248 by contacting the Ohio House Health Committee Members with the following talking points:

-As a constituent and a (parent/pediatrician/nurse) in your community, I am asking that you oppose HB 248.

-This is dangerous legislation that would hurt Ohio’s immunization rates and lead to surges of vaccine preventable diseases

-The bill restricts the ability of healthcare facilities and businesses to protect patients, employees, and customers

-Vaccines are safe and effective; this legislation takes Ohio in the wrong direction.

Here are the House Health Committee Member emails, please send the message attention Rep. <<Insert Name>> to both addresses listed to assure they receive our messages.

Additional contact information for the House Health Committee including phone numbers can be found here.

Your help is needed to defeat this bill and protect Ohio’s children from vaccine preventable diseases & outbreaks.

As always, Ohio AAP appreciates your support and will continue to provide timely updates on all advocacy issues!
