1 in 4 Parents Reported Serious Concerns On Vaccinating Children-Address Vaccine Hesitancy In New Webinar!

As you may know, parental vaccine hesitancy is becoming an increasingly important public health concern in the United States. In March 2020, an assessment of the latest CDC National Immunization Survey data found that more than one-third of U.S. children between the ages of 19 and 35 months were not following the recommended early childhood immunization schedule. Furthermore, a 2019 national survey found that approximately 1 in 4 parents reported serious concerns towards vaccinating their children. Vaccine hesitancy is now associated with a decrease in vaccine coverage and an increase in vaccine-preventable disease outbreaks and epidemics in the United States

Ohio AAP is providing an educational program to provide participants with information regarding parental vaccine hesitancy and vaccine acceptance. The webinar will be held on May 6, 2021 with two time options: 12:30-1:30pm and 5:30-6:30pm. (The same information will be presented at both webinars.)

The event will be offered as a 1-hour live program via ZOOM with a slide presentation, followed by a question-and-answer period.

The Ohio Chapter, American Academy of Pediatrics (Ohio AAP) is accredited by the Ohio State Medical Association to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The Ohio AAP designates this live activity for a maximum of 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
